2026 Fellowship Awardees

Translational Neuroscience Center Fellowship Program

Congratulations to Lindsay Romo, PhD and Kwangjun Lee, PhD for being the awardees for the 2026 Translational Neuroscience Center Fellowship Program! The TNC aims to help cultivate the next generation of translational scientists focused on childhood brain disorders by sponsoring research fellowships for postdoctoral training. This multidisciplinary postdoctoral training program in translational research for neurodevelopmental disorders provides access to mentorship and resources across Boston Children’s Hospital from clinicians and basic scientists, as well as collaborators from private industry and public not-for-profit organizations.

Translational Genomic Medicine (TGM) Postdoctoral Fellowship

Congratulations to Victor Rebelo Procaci, MD for being selected for a two-year Fellowship in the Translational Genomic Medicine (TGM) Core in the TNC. As a Postdoctoral Fellow in the TGM, Victor will work on longitudinal studies of rare monogenic neurodevelopmental disorders, including Chopra-Amiel-Gordon Syndrome (CAGS), MED13L Syndrome, Kleefstra Syndrome, and ReNU Syndrome. Victor’s work will focus on clinical phenotyping, data analysis, genotypephenotype correlations, and the development of outcome measures and biomarkers to support future clinical therapeutic trials.

Osterweil Lab Postdoctoral Fellowship

Dr. Aditi Singh completed her PhD at Jawaharlal Nehru University and TERI School of Advanced Studies in New Delhi, India, where she used computational and structural biology approaches to study the molecular mechanisms of diseases. During her doctoral research, she became increasingly interested in how gene regulation shapes neuronal development and function, which led her to transition to neurobiology for her postdoctoral training, focusing on neurogenesis and cortical folding mechanisms. Dr. Singh is currently a postdoctoral research fell in the Department of Neurobiology at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she combines single-cell genomics with functional approaches to dissect how molecular regulation shapes neural circuit development. Her TNC fellowship project applies these tools to investigate how loss of FMR1 – the gene mutated in Fragile X syndrome – disrupts cell-type-specific programs directly relevant to disease biology, seeking to inform new treatment strategies in Fragile X syndrome and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Singh is mentored by Dr. Emily Osterweil.
